DETAIL MAKE OVER Mousse Lipsticks Review & Swatches!

Hello, everybody! Today, let me share my review and swatches of the three mousse lipsticks that Detail Make Over sent me. I have tried some of their lipsticks before so I have some expectations. Let’s talk more of those below!

The Mousse Lipstick is an innovative lipstick with a soft, mousse-like formula in a collection of deliciously neutral hues. It has feather-light texture effortlessly glides on the lips; delivers full-on vivid color with a semi-matte finish; nourishes and conditions lips with moisturizing ingredients; leaves a fresh, powder-soft look to your pout.

Packaging
I am impressed with the packaging!!! It’s like a Chanel Lipstick where you have to push the top to reveal the lipstick at the bottom. Nice one, Detail Make Over!
Price
299 pesos each only! It’s a bit expensive for a drugstore lipstick but maybe it’s because of the packaging. Hehe.
Swatches
Just to recap, I got three shades… Bold Nude, Sweet Pink, and Rebel Red. Below are the swatches.

Bold Nude is sooooo pretty! It is not a nude that washes me out because it leans more on the peach shade. I am bad at describing colors but just see the photos above. It pretty much shows the accurate shade.

Sweet Pink is like my lips but better and a perfect everyday lipstick. It is not bright and is the safest choice if you want to try one shade from this line.

Rebel Red is a deep, wine red. It can look deeper when layered on the lips. It makes the face brighter and looks put together. This one is really bold and leaves a stain on the lips.

Quality

These lipsticks remind me of the creamy matte lipsticks. They are easy to apply, glides smoothly and creamy! My lips felt moisturized all day and they did not leave my lips chapped nor dry. I also like that it sets on the lips so even if there’s minimal transfer, the pigment stays put and fades gradually.

My only problem is that the two lipsticks broke at the bottom. It seems like they melt easily or too soft.

Scent
There’s a faint sweet scent and it has a bit of taste but not bad. I like it.
Worth the Money?

Yes, it could be cheaper but overall, I like these lipsticks. Remember to put them on a cold storage, or away from direct sunlight so that they won’t break easily. Overall, these are great quality lipsticks and these are a great starter/basic shades if you are buying your first lipsticks.
