I’ve been binge shopping again, and what caught my eyes recently were these MeNow Pro Kiss Proof Soft Lipsticks. They are sold at BeautyMNL.com for P149.00 each.

I have six shades to share with you today, and I am glad that they vary! I literally just added all the available shades when I purchased them online because they easily get sold out. Interesting!
Let’s know more about them after the jump!
Packaging. It is a pencil that needs a big sharpener. I wish it was a twist-up tube, though. BeautyMNL offers a free sharpener when you buy at least two of these pencils. The cap fits perfectly, so no need to worry that it will come off inside your pouch!
Here are the swatches in random order. I am not satisfied with one layer, honestly, but it is buildable. It is best to add layers quickly otherwise, it will not look even.
MeNow Pro Kiss Proof Soft Lipstick Shade 011 is a red-brown shade, and it looks kind of similar to MAC Sin, don’t you think?
MeNow Pro Kiss Proof Soft Lipstick 018 is a red-orange shade. So pretty and fit for the holiday season!
MeNow Pro Kiss Proof Soft Lipstick 005 is a beautiful nude beige shade. I couldn’t resist trying it out when I got it! It looks paler on my lips than on the pencil so it might wash out people with darker skin tones.
MeNow Pro Kiss Proof Soft Lipstick 003 is a deep berry shade. Please ignore my lip swatch because my lips are starting to swell because of applying several shades and removing after taking the photo.
MeNow Pro Kiss Proof Soft Lipstick 013 is a true red which I featured on this post. It seems very similar to MAC Ruby Woo when worn full on. Red lipstick lovers should try this shade!
MeNow Pro Kiss Proof Soft Lipstick 009 is a baby pink shade but warmer. It looks light on me and kind of patchy when layered. This will look best on fair skin.
Texture. It has a true matte texture. Once set, it is kiss proof, and waterproof. It is not oil proof, though, so expect to reapply after eating an oily meal. It is not really a creamy nor a nourishing formula.
Pigmentation. It has medium but buildable pigmentation. One layer for me is not enough.
After a meal.
Longevity. It lasts a long time without eating oily food. TIP: When reapplying, it is best to remove everything first otherwise, it will not look even, and sometimes the old layer will crumble. (in Tagalog, namumuo)
Scent. It doesn’t smell anything to me.
Final Thoughts. For P149.00, these pencils are worth a try especially if you love true matte lipsticks. It stays put for a long time, there are plenty of shades to choose from and it is also easy to carry in your purse!
