The ZOEVA 110 Face Shape Brush

The ZOEVA 110 Face Shape Brush

Photo 4-10-14, 9 49 30 AMDo I need more brushes in my life? Hahaha!

Aside from makeup products, I have quite a collection of makeup brushes. I have brushes from Real Techniques, Chic Cosmetics, Elf Cosmetics, Marionnaud, and some random brands. I wentΒ throughΒ a phase where I like to buy a lot of the same type of things. I had a concealer phase, lipstick phase, powder phase, eyeliner phase, and the list goes on. Reading a lot of beauty blogs is not helping because I often read reviews of products and itΒ makes me want to try them out too. πŸ˜€

When I signed up at Luxola, I really don’t have a particular item in mind. I just browsed through the brands, and trusted my instincts on what to get.Β You can check my first Luxola haul here.Β Being obsessed over contouring and highlighting made me buy thisΒ ZOEVA 110 Face Shape Brush, SGD 17 (About Php 600+).

The 110 Face Shape is a round shaped, compact face brush to contour the face shape along the cheekbones, the chin line and the temples. Due to its compact size it is the ideal tool for very precise contouring and blending. The smooth, vegan taklon bristles work with liquid, cream or powder makeup products and offer soft and easy application for a flawless finish. Comes in a gorgeous zipper brush bag.

I do not regret purchasing this brush at all! It is PERFECT!Β The hairs are so soft, dense, and theΒ perfect size for face contouring, especially on the cheeks and nose. It is like a round, tapered kabuki, but smaller.

I also love using this for blending my undereye concealer. Again, it is perfect! I dab the concealer on areas I want to cover, and buff it using this brush. This brush is currently part of my everyday makeup routine. I have yet to discover more uses for this. I will let you know, of course!

I took some comparison shots of this brush and the Real Techniques Contour BrushΒ from the Core Collection. They serve the same purpose but have some slight differences.

Based on the comparison pictures, theΒ ZOEVA 110 Face Shape Brush is denser and has shorterΒ bristles. Those qualities make it apply more color, and make it more suitable to buff and blend products. The Real Techniques Contour Brush has more advantage in blending products better because it has more tapered bristles, and it is less dense. I really can’t pinpoint a lot of differences, and I love them equally, like my (future) kids. Hehe.

You can purchaseΒ ZOEVA 110 Face Shape BrushΒ on its own, or buy the whole Face Set.Β I am going to put the Face Set on my wishlist. Maybe, I will buy it. Maybe, just maybe. Haha. πŸ˜€ IΒ am eyeing a lot of makeup brushes, including Sigma. Do you think it is worth investing on Sigma brushes?

I hope you enjoyed reading this, and be back for more!

Have a wonderful day! :-*

Wow! It looks really good. I haven’t heard of this brand before and I’m glad you discovered this. Quite pricey but I guess it’s worth a try. πŸ˜€

Most of their brushes are cheaper than Sigma. I became really curious so I got this first one, and now I am hooked! >_<

Wow. I’m thinking of trying this brand. Sigma brushes are definitely worth investing for. It doesn’t shed and the bristles are soft. A bit pricey but it is one of the best brushes in the market specially if you are a MUA. I mean it’s not as pricey as the Tom Ford brushes but it is definitely better than the generic ones πŸ™‚

Thanks Em! Hopefully, I will be able to get those Sigma brushes. Maybe when my current brushes get old. πŸ™‚

Hi! I’m eyeing Zoeva Face Set myself. And in regards to the Sigma Brushes, they are awesome. Well, I’m not really a pro on makeup at all, but I’m in love with the F80. It has been a heaven set foundation brush for me.

    Juvy Posted on 10:38 pm - Sep 29, 2014

Would love to try some Sigma brushes too. Try Zoeva, you will not regret it!

I’ve been trying to decide for weeks whether to get the Zoeva 110 or RT contour brush! They both look gorgeous, the perfect size, and I own and love many brushes from both brands! Would you recommend the 110 for cream contouring as it’s denser and better at buffing? I use powder to contour and I think now I’m leaning towards the RT brush because the bristles are slightly less dense so I’ll be unlikely to pick up too much product. AHH THE DILEMA! What would your advise be since you own and love them both? ❀️

    Juvy Posted on 12:10 am - Jan 29, 2015

110 for cream contouring as it’s denser and better at buffing – YES! I also use it to buff my concealers.
For powder, RT brush is better. πŸ™‚
I will pick Zoeva more because the bristles are softer and it is more multi-purpose.
