MAC Sheertone Blush in Blushbaby Review and Swatches

MAC Sheertone Blush in Blushbaby Review and Swatches

MAC Blushbaby CoverHear Ye! Hear Ye! I present to you, my very first MAC Blush after 29 years of existence! What an achievement. HAHAHA! 😀 Oh well, better late than never! 🙂

Anyway, I chose the shade Blushbaby because I want to own a neutral blush because I think I do not have one from my massive collection yet. I also searched the ever reliable Google, and found Beauty Reductionista’s blog about Neutral Blushes. I initially wanted Benefit Dallas but the Sales Assistant at Benefit Cosmetics in Rustan’s said that it will already be phased out. It is still available in the official website though, so I am confused. Hopefully, I will own that as well because I lurrrve Benefit Cosmetics! 😀

What is a neutral blush, anyway? The answer is, it depends. Neutral depends on your skin tone. But generally, they are the brown shades, with a hint of rose. It looks au naturel, and it can also be used for contouring.

Photo 4-3-14, 1 01 31 PMHere’s a closer look at the blush.

The packaging is the same as all other permanent shades. Hard, but sturdy plastic. You will lift the lid to open it up. The color appears to be darker, and mauvey on the picture, but it is lighter than that. It is described as Beige-Pink on MAC’s website.

Photo 4-6-14, 5 20 33 PMIt has a sheer coverage or pigmentation (obviously!), but very buildable. You can layer it several times without looking clownish. This powder lasts a long time on my cheeks, about eight hours now, as I am writing this. It is very soft to the touch, but a bit powdery when using a brush.

MAC Blushbaby

I should’ve worn very bright lips or red lips here, don’t you think?!

Overall, I highly recommend this blush! This is perfect for everyday use, and it works with any lipstick shade. I am wondering what shade I will get next? Hihihi!

What is your favorite MAC Blush? Let me know! 🙂

Invest ka talaga dun sa magagamit mo palagi para hindi siya aagiwin sa vanity mo. 😀 Tingin ko talaga pag high end, masusulit mo naman yung binayad mo (except for some!) kaya dapat basa muna ng reviews. Hihi 😀

Ooooh. This is a pretty shade! It kinda looks similar to MAC Mocha though so I might not get this, but hell, pretty shade is a pretty shade! Suits you really well too! 🙂

Thanks Becs! I think Mocha is pinker, and that’s also a lovely shade! I saw your post on that before. 🙂

I haven’t heard of a “Neutral Blush” before but that sounds like an interesting idea! I’ve always thought that my shade is a light coral / orange but I’d like to take a look at some mauves and browns, too.

    Juvy Posted on 2:20 am - Apr 15, 2014

I think for Medium skin tones like me, mauves, deep pink and peach work best. Since you have fair skin, soft pink, peach and light coral work! For deeper skin tone, tangerine, fuschia, and warm brown. I think the rule is the same with how you find the perfect lipstick shade.
But, you know, we can always break those rules! Yeah?! 😀

Wow!!! I envy your blush collection! I hope that I can buy more MAC, and try Illamasqua. They are more expensive here in the Philippines so it’s not easy to collect. 😛 Thanks for dropping by here!
