BDJ Beauty Social Invite
Last Sunday, March 23rd 2014, the BDJ Box Beauty Social Tres Chic event was held at the Samsung Hall of SM Aura. I got so lucky when I won a seat to one of the talks because I joined a giveaway by Genzel of genzelkisses.com. I had been a constant follower of Genzel’s blog because she writes well, she captures beautiful photos, and she responds to her reader’s comments. I feel like I’m close to her, even if I have not met her. I did not know what to expect because it was my first time to attend such event. I also did not have a companion with me, but Genzel said she’ll be there to meet the winners. I only brought my iPad to capture some photos, because my camera is old and already acting up. Next time, I will bring a better camera for more beautiful photos. Apologies, if some photos are blurry.
I attended the first talk at 12PM with the BDJ Box Beauty Ministry. I am so happy seeing them in person! Up on stage were Nicole Romero, Tara Cabullo, Erica Paredes, and Barbi Chan. They answered different beauty questions from the audience.
After the talk, I was able to capture the booths inside the hall. There are a lot of fun activities going on like makeup workshops, free facials, free samples, and raffle draws. Here are the booths inside the hall.
While waiting for Genzel, I saw Maica of www.pinaybeautyinabudget.com and Rattus of Beauty on a Shoestring Budget. Good thing I brought my thick face with me, and I asked them to take pictures with me. Haha!

We were at the Ellana Minerals booth at that time, and Liz of Project Vanity was there! I did not approach her at that time because my shyness got in the way. I just went around and took more pictures while checking out each booth.
Next person I saw was Yette of www.yettezkiedoodle.com. Gasp! I have to take a picture with her, so I approached her. She is very kind and we got to chit chat a little. Yette will meet Genzel, so I stayed with her. (Yette, I hope you didn’t feel na “feeling close” na ako agad? Hihi.) Yette is one of my favorite bloggers too because she takes beautiful photos, and her reviews are very detailed, and honest. 🙂

We waited for Genzel at Happy Lemon, and when she arrived, I got starstruck once again! Hehe. It was a dream come true to meet my favorite bloggers! I swear, I read all of your posts. I read blogs more than I work! Hahaha! Joke lang (half-meant!) 😀
Finally, I was able to take a picture with Liz Lanuzo, of Project Vanity at the Ellana Minerals booth! Yay!

We then, started to fall in line on each booth. I did not get lucky at Canmake‘s raffle draw eh, but I got a discount voucher from the Yves Rocher booth. 🙂
I met more beautiful bloggers while roaming around. I am super overwhelmed with meeting everyone. I just can’t explain it! 🙂

At 4PM, I attended the Shiseido Colors of Summer talk. The Chief Makeup Artist of Shiseido Philippines introduced their Summer Collection. They are waterproof, and sweat-proof products, perfect for everyday, and on the beach!
The brains of the famous Belle De Jour Power Planner and BDJ Box is no other than Ms. Darlyn Ty. It was a privilege meeting her. She is very approachable, and she did not think twice of taking a picture with me. I am so lucky to have a picture moment with her. 🙂

The day won’t end without a loot bag, so here are what I got!
It was really a very memorable day for me. Not only did I enjoy all the stuff and activities inside the hall, but because I met new friends as well. I hope to attend more events so that I can meet all of you again.
I hope to see you all again on next events and I hope you enjoyed my company, as I enjoyed yours!
