Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balms Review

Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balms Review

Photo 3-10-14, 3 16 48 PMRevlon won the hearts of many lip junkies like me when they released the Just Bitten Kissable Lip Balm Stains. I collected most of the shades because they are so wearable, and they feel really great on the lips. Last year, they released another similar line, and they come in Matte and Shine Finishes. I already reviewed some of their Matte balms, and now, I present to you, the Lacquer Balms.

Revlon Says:

High Shine Lacquer. Moisture Rich Balm

A lacquer finish thatโ€™s beyond brilliant. Balm thatโ€™s beyond comforting. Our Triple Butter Complex of Shea, Coconut and Mango butters nourishes lips. In 10 collectible, craveable colors.

For a polished and perfect lip look, apply foundation on and around the lips before lip color. Foundation helps to prep the lip area for a more flawless application and helps lip color last longer.

The packaging is a chubby crayon, just like the Just Bitten Kissable Lip Balm Stains. I love using this product for touching up because I do not have to use a mirror to be more precise. This one allows a quick swipe and I am good to go!

This product has a sheer, but buildable color payoff. One swipe already shows the color. It has a shine finish. It is really like a balm, but it is way pigmented. It does not stain the lips like the Just Bitten Kissable Lip Balm Stains. It stays on the lips without eating or drinking and if you eat or drink, it wonโ€™t totally be gone unless you wipe it off.

There are ten available shades to choose from. They are Demure (nude light pink), Coquette (bright pink with blue undertones), Whimsical (pinky purple), Vivacious (Hot pink), Flirtatious (bright fuchsia), Tease (peachy pink), Provocateur (bright pinky red), Coy (mauvey brown), Ingenue (nude medium brown), and Enticing (deep medium red).

The three shades that I got were Vivacious, Ingenue, and Provocateur. They cost Php 575 at the Revlon counters. I purchased them at Watsons.

Photo 3-9-14, 5 33 06 PMOverall, I love these lacquer balms. The three shades that I got have the same texture, and finishes, only that they are different shades. It is not like a hit or miss product, unlike the Matte balms. I would definitely recommend this for everyone who enjoys lip products that gives shine and moisture at the same time.

ย Have you tried this product yet? Thoughts?

The shades are pretty but the finish turns me off. And the longevity is well, not enough for me. Hehe. I might just go the Matte Balms ๐Ÿ™‚

Yeah, I know that you are a matte lipstick girl! I love mattes too, but sometimes, I enjoy the moisturizing and creamier ones esp. when my lips are dry and flaky. I am so lazy to exfoliate most of the time. ๐Ÿ˜›
