Product Empties #2
What a great feeling knowing that I was able to use up most of the items that I buy. The items I will share are both makeup and bath/skincare products that I have used up for months. I will try to give mini reviews about each of them to help you in any way if you want to try them.
Here they are!
BB Creams
These BB Creams actually reached their expiration dates. They are reaching their second year so I wanted to get rid of them. They have not changed consistency yet but it is better to be safe than sorry. They are almost empty though, because I have used them so many times.
The Face Shop Lovely ME:EX BB Cream is my very first BB Cream! I loved this BB cream so much because it made my skin even and smooth. It is not greasy at all. It sparked my interest to try out more BB Creams! tsk! tsk! 😛
Because Korean brands are growing like mushrooms in the Philippines, I visited the Missha store, which was one of the very first who came here. The Sales Assistant told me that the M Signature Real Complete BB Cream is one of their best, so I bought it. I actually didn’t like it that much because, if I remember it right, it felt heavy on my skin. Maybe I did not use it that much to know what difference it will make for my skin. You better try it for yourself though, because it may work for you. 🙂
The Colour Collection coQ10 Age-defying BB Cream is the one I use if I will be under the sun because it has SPF 45! It was lightweight on my skin, but still offers a good coverage, and made my skin evened out. I have the other variant now, the whitening, and I equally love them. Colour Collection is available only in the Philippines, correct me if I am wrong. 🙂
Concealer
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles is one of my favorite concealers. This is the second concealer that I have used up in my lifetime. LOL! The first one was the CoverGirl TruConceal in #4, my first favorite concealer. 🙂 The Maybelline concealer is not available in the local stores though, and I have to purchase it online. I like that this covers my undereye circles really well, and it is long-lasting. I have repurchased this already and I recommend it! 🙂
Powders
The one on the left in the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Translucent. I like this powder because it is finely milled, and it does not change my face base. I have to disagree from others who claim that it keeps oil away the whole day, because my T-zone gets oily even after just an hour. I can’t really blame the product though, because I have never used a product that stopped T-zone from oiling up. I don’t think there is any product that can do that, right? 🙂 I have repurchased this and I also got the Sandstorm shade. It is an affordable product and I recommend it! 🙂
Revlon Colorstay Pressed powder tops my list of favorite powders. It is the best product for my oily T-zone. It stayed the longest, and it has a good coverage. It is a good quality product, and I have repurchased this, and is on my purse all the time.
Mascara
Four tubes of Mascara! I am addicted to dramatic eyelashes. 😀
The best mascara I have tried so far is the CoverGirl LashBlast Volume Mascara. That is the orange tube in the picture. It does not clump my lashes even if I apply more than one coat, and it stays all day, without smudging. It holds my curl all day. Hands down my favorite ever! 😀 Review here!
The very first mascara that I loved is the Clinique Lash Doubling Mascara in Black. This is just a sample size, and was gifted by my cousin from Australia. It came in a set. This mascara holds my curl all day, and it does not clump even if I apply more than one coat. It doesn’t dry up even if I have it for years. I know that I should only use mascara for 6 months tops, but I did not get any irritation whatsoever and I am the only one who used it. I repurchased another mascara from Clinique in HongKong, and I can’t wait to try it. 🙂
The other two products are the Avon ExtraLasting Mascara and essence multi action waterproof mascara. They are affordable mascara that performs well. They are waterproof, smudge-proof, and long-wearing. I am just not a fan of drier formulas. The essence one dried up too fast. I liked it when it was new but I only used it for a short time. Both of them are almost dried up so I want to throw them away already. I will not repurchase them.
Makeup Removers/Wipes
The blue bottle is the Nichido Makeup Remover. It performs well in removing all my makeup including waterproof mascara, but what I don’t like about it is that it is greasy, and it makes my eyes blurry after use. It also contains Mineral oil, but I am not sensitive to it. I will no longer repurchase this.
The makeup wipe is The Face Shop Herb Day Lip & Eye Make-up Remover. I highly recommend this product because it can dissolve all makeup with just one wipe including waterproof ones. The packaging is great too because it does not dry up until the very last piece. It is mild, and does not cause my eyes to be blurry after use. This is great for travelling too! I have repurchased this already.
Toners
The Neutrogena Alcohol-Free Toner was the very first toner I had.  It is very mild on my skin, and it really made my face refreshed after cleansing. It does not sting, nor does it make my skin tight or dry after application. It started my habit of applying toners after cleansing my face. It also helped in removing excess oil and makeup that were not removed after cleansing. I definitely recommend this!
Another toner that I purchased was the Nivea aqua affect Mattifying Toner. I purchased this mainly because it suits combination skin and its mattifying effect. This is actually my second bottle. It has the same qualities with Neutrogena. I did not really notice any mattifying effects, but I still recommend this.
Bath Products
I used the L’oreal Fall Repair Shampoo in the hopes of a miracle to reduce my hair fall problem, but I think it will take time before it will show some results. The shampoo did not give me any instant result, but it is still good in cleansing my hair and giving it a good smell.
I bought the Belo Essentials Whitening Anti-perspirant and Deodorant because it promises a lot of good things. After using the whole bottle, I did not really notice a dramatic change in my underarms, but I feel like it helped in keeping it smooth and clean. I am not really expecting it to whiten or totally remove chicken skin, but it did not aggravate any problems. I liked its mild scent, and it did not dry my underarm unlike other brands.
My dear friend, Mela gave me this Bath and Body Works Vanilla Bean Noel Shower Gel. I usually shower after a long day at work, and sweet scents, such as Vanilla, are my favorite for bath products. This shower gel is super sweet, and it really calms my senses. I can’t wait for my husband to come home because he said he’ll buy me some! Woot! 🙂
There goes my long list of empties! I am so happy to have used up a lot of products. I am thrilled to use up more and more products, and stop myself from buying new ones someday.
Hope that you like this post, and may it help in choosing the right products for you.
Till me next post! :-*

It definitely helped me in deciding. 🙂 I have been thinking of buying the Maybelline concealer and Nivea toner, but I can’t seem to make up my mind. Thanks for sharing your experience. 🙂

That’s a LOT of empties! Doesn’t finishing a product give you a sense of accomplishment? Or at least satisfaction that you used what you paid for lol.

I still have a lot of new empties to post. I am just too lazy to do it. I love reading this kind of post, and also watching them on YT!
