My Review

I always wear makeup when I go to work so I thought I would wear test the Biore UV Oil Control Base UV SPF 50+ PA++++. I work in an air-conditioned office but it does not prevent my face to become oily. I have a combination to oily skin and I usually oil upon the T-zone.

So, I applied the makeup base around past 11 pm and went to work around 12 midnight. After two hours, I noticed that my face starts to become oily on the usual spot, the T-zone. I am not comfortable looking at my oily face so I had to blot.

After five hours, I still noticed that my face became oily again.

The above picture is five hours after wearing the makeup base. Although my face is oily, it did not break down my makeup. I did not wear any liquid foundation by the way and only used powder. My blush is still very visible and overall, the makeup was not affected. I blotted my face again to remove the excess oil.

Here’s my face after eight hours. My face is still oily but my makeup remained intact. The way my makeup held up is really impressive although the oil control part was not that good, in my experience.

I used my Too Cool for School blotting papers to absorb the excess oil below:

Overall, I do think that this product works in terms of making the makeup stay longer on the face. My only concern is that the oil control promise did not work on my face. I feel like I get the same amount of oil when using my usual moisturizers. It will not stop me from buying the product though because it works as a good sunscreen. It also reduces the appearance of pores and I love the cooling effect! It makes my skin matte after a few seconds and skin feels soft and smooth. The scent smells like a mild sunscreen and this product did not irritate my skin.

I guess it is up to you if you want to try this makeup base, after all, we NEED to apply sunscreen every day! I hope that you found this review helpful and come back for more of my beauty musings. Stay gorgeous!
