Beauty Products That You Can Buy In Japan! (Muji, Daiso, Don Quixote)
Me at Meiji Shrine
Japan has different beauty brands that are not available in our country or they are sold at a higher price. When I go to Japan, I always check their beauty shops to look for skin care and makeup products. Today, I want to share my purchases when I went to Japan last year. Most of them are unplanned because I wasn’t able to resist the lower prices and some are not available in the Philippines. I will not be able to give you the exact prices of everything but, all descriptions are available below and where you can get them! Let’s start!
STORE: MUJI
MUJI LOOSE POWDER NATURAL (1,350 Yen) – This is very finely milled and almost comparable to Ben Nye Luxury Powder. I highly recommend it!
MUJI LOOSE POWDER CASE WITH MIRROR (840 Yen) – Get this if you want to transfer loose powder into a travel-friendly case. It has a sifter inside and you can close the sifter in order for the powder not to spill.
There are a lot more to buy from Muji. Their ballpens are cheap and I also tried their chocolate covered strawberries. Next time, I will try to explore more and share them with you.
STORE: DAISO
(We shopped at the Daiso store in Harajuku)
DAISO EYEBROW PENCILS – 100 Yen each (About 48 pesos!) Cheap yet good quality! This is good for everyday use.
ESPOLEUR CHEEK BLUSH – 100 yen also. This reminds me of the Canmake Cream Cheek but, I really haven’t tested this yet.
ESPOLEUR MAKEUP BASE – 100 yen. I haven’t tried this yet but, it’s an interesting product.
EYELASH CURLER PADS – 100 yen also. Very affordable refill for eyelash curler pads.
FACE MASKS – 100 yen. Contains 7 pieces of face masks. So cheap!
DAISO EYEBROW MASCARA – 100 yen. Tried and tested. I love this eyebrow mascara because it keeps the brows in place all day!
STORE: DON QUIXOTE
There are different branches in Japan but one of the biggest is in Shibuya. I can’t recall the prices of these products but, they are most likely sold cheaper than in the Philippines.
BIORE UV SPRAY SUNSCREEN – Biore is everywhere in Japan. Cheaper to buy there, for sure.
ROHTO MENTHOLATUM LIP CARE MEDICATED LIP BALM – You can also find this everywhere. Super cheap! I believe this is only less than 100 pesos.
LION FOOT PATCH (750 yen) – Great for tired and sore muscles. It has a cooling effect and helps relieve pain. Made with a blend of five herbs (lavender, sage, rosemary, lemon, orange) for a relaxing effect. Provide cooling and rejuvenation for your legs after a long day of standing at work or playing sports by applying these sheets to your calves, ankles, bottoms of your feet, or other areas that you want to refresh. The sheet’s menthol also provides effective cooling and vaporization for a long-lasting refreshing feeling.
KOBAYASHI JAPAN SUMIGAKI CHARCLEAN WHITENING CHARCOAL TOOTHPASTE – I will always buy this when I go to Japan. I believe it really helps whiten the teeth and it keeps it stain-free. If you are a coffee or tea-lover then, this is a must!
KISS ME HEROINE MAKE MASCARA – My most favorite mascara. It keeps the curl and stays forever! This costs 1000 yen each.
BCL SABORINO MORNING FACE MASK (1,300 Yen) – BCL Saborino Morning Face Mask is a 3-in-1 face mask that designed for having fast and efficient face care in the morning. The mask will take effect in just 60 seconds and you can start applying make-up afterward.
DHC PURE COLOR LIP CREAM – It is a colored lip cream that moisturizes your lips with a slight coloring. Protects delicate lips from drying and roughness.
K-PALETTE LASTING LIP TINT (1,200 Yen) – A long-lasting and moisturizing lip tint that has a light feeling on the lips, that is not sticky or goopy. Lips are lightly stained with rich pigment, but there is a semi-sheer gloss finish.
K-PALETTE LASTING LIP TINT STICK (1,300 Yen) – A moisture-rich lip tint in a stick. It hydrates, protects, and softens the lips; leaves a long-lasting sheer stain; provides 100% hydration from Shea butter, ceramide, and sodium hyaluronate; helps treat dry and chapped lips; lightweight and non-sticky formula stays comfortably throughout the day.
CLUB SUPPIN POWDER (1,500 Yen) – Enjoy 24-hour skin care that you don’t have to wash off before bed! This no-makeup style powder has a feel so light you won’t even notice it, and it makes your natural skin look most beautiful!
HEROINE MAKE SPEEDY MASCARA REMOVER (840 Yen) – Even strong mascara can be removed immediately. Contains ingredients for eyelash care. It is not irritating to the eyes. Fragrance-free, colorless, ionic surfactant-free, alcohol-free.
SHISEIDO MINI EYELASH CURLER (800 Yen)
SHISEIDO EYELASH CURLER PADS (100 Yen)
MAQUILLAGE EDGE- FREE EYELASH CURLER – An eyelash curler that can firmly grasp the root of the entire eyelashes by pinching once.
This is just a part one, I guess. I still have a lot to share but it will be on another post. I hope that this post gave you some idea of what products to get when you go to Japan. If you want a review of anything, let me know in the comments box. Until next time!
