your best lip ever?

The best lipstick for me is the one with the following qualities – makes my lips look good, does not make my lips feel dry until the end of the day, worth the money and long-lasting. I don’t really mind doing a retouch as long as the formula is really awesome. It does not need to be super cheap nor expensive for me to call it the best lipstick. Most reviews that I watched only did a swatch video and first impressions review on these lipsticks. Many of them claimed that these are the BEST LIPSTICKS that they have tried.  I honestly don’t rely on first impressions reviews because, for me, wearing the lipstick at least on a full day will tell if it really has a great formula and if it really lives up to its claims. It’s unfair to call a product the best if you haven’t worn it at all. It’s also unfair if you tell your viewers to buy something that they will regret later. Anyway, let’s move on to my review!

Packaging

It’s hands down a very nice packaging. I like the box and the minimalist bullet. They look simple, clean but, eye-catching. The sticker at the bottom of the bullet shows the lipstick shades which is very helpful if you store it upside down.

Price and Where to Buy?

Each costs 345 pesos – 3.2 grams.

These lipsticks are available at  SunniesFace.com, Lazada.com, and Sunnies Face Boutiques. You can’t purchase them online as of this time because they are out of stock. They are available in stores but, you can just buy 3 shades at a time (if I am correct). I hate that they do not (or pretend not to) have enough stocks. WHY?!

Longevity

I wore Hot Sauce all day at work. At first swipe, the lipstick feels super soft and creamy. It is very lightweight and “fluffy”. After 3.5 hours, the lipstick faded in the middle part of the lips after drinking coffee and my lips looked and felt dry. I feel uncomfortable without the creamy feel so I had to reapply. After 5.5 hours (after lunch), the middle part faded but it stained. The creamy feeling again is gone and my lips felt dry. My lips still looked good from afar but up close, I notice that the lipstick is already on the outside parts of the lips. I felt the need to put something moisturizing, a lip balm, to ease my lips from dryness. In conclusion, you have to reapply this lipstick at least every three hours or after eating or drinking because the staying power is weak. It also dried my lips so bad because the next day, I can’t wear the other shade because my lips became crusty. I always wear a lip balm before I sleep but it didn’t help soothe them the next day. It’s really disappointing because I love the colors that I got. I am tempted to buy more shades but the formula is just blah so I am not convinced to buy more.

Worth the Money?

These lipsticks are affordable but they are hard to buy (now!). Too much hassle. Is it worth the hype? For me, it is not. It is just another brand of lipstick. I love all the shades but they are not unique. I really don’t like how it dried up my lips and the staying power is weak. More affordable brands are out there so you are not missing out. You can try one shade for yourself because remember that my experience may not be the same as yours! 🙂
