Careline Matte Liquid Lipsticks in Gotta Go, Tutu, Normcore & Brick’D Review & Swatches!
Careline is known for their cutesy and affordable makeup! I see Careline almost everywhere but, I honestly have not tried a lot of products from them. Being a lip junkie that I am, I was not able to resist trying out their new matte liquid lipsticks! I got four shades out of twelve (but who knows if I will buy more!) and they retail for 195 pesos each, Net Wt: 5.5ml at Watsons, SM Megamall. Careline has a brand new slogan, Better Than Basic and they are revamping their look soon!
The four shades that I got were Normcore, Tutu, Gotta Go & Brick’D. They are the shades that I feel like I will wear more. So, let’s begin with the review and swatches!
Packaging
According to Careline, their packaging resonates that of Colourpop and I agree. They are sturdy and they have a doe foot applicator. The doe foot applicator is soft to the lips and it gets just the right amount of product enough for one layer.
Pigmentation
All the four shades have high pigmentation. I can get away with one layer but, I really prefer two layers to make sure that my lips are fully covered.
Texture
These lipsticks are liquidy. They apply thinly and very easy to blend when I press my lips. They feel slightly tacky when applied thickly but, in my opinion, that tacky feeling makes them longer lasting. It does not bother me too much because I do not usually press my lips often.

Longevity
These lipsticks stay on after I ate a sandwich and they do not transfer on my straw when I drink, however, oil breaks them down. I ate a rice meal and felt the need to reapply. I can apply the lipstick over the first layer without looking cakey or flaky. I do prefer removing all the lipstick and having a fresh layer. I applied the lipstick below at about 11:00 PM. I reapplied only after 6.5 Hours! 🙂
Scent
No awful scent. I think it has a sweet scent but my memory is not working now. LOL.
Bang for your buck
For 195 Pesos, they are worth checking out! You will surely find the shades that you like. I am wishing to the Gods that I will get them all. Why not swatch them all to you, right? Stay tuned!
That’s all for today! Have a great weekend!

Nice review. Made me want to try these new Careline lippies.
BTW. I want to know where did you get your frames. I’ve been looking around for square frames for a while and haven’t had any luck to find one.
Thanks 😀
