ColourPop Ultra Satin Lips In PRIM Swatches, Review, Photos!

I have a lot of stock photos for my blog so pardon if I post about Colourpop again! Hehe. The Ultra Satin Lips are my favorites that is why I took a lot of photos when I got my very first shades. Sayang naman if I don’t use the photos, so let’s get down to it. Hope you’ll still like this review!

What ColourPop says:

Our Ultra Satin Lip is a lightweight, bold lipstick with a Satin finish. A super comfortable feel and healthy satin look for your lips. Ultra Satin Lip has a crazy high percentage of pigments for extra intense color saturation. This lipstick is extremely long wearing, although not completely kiss proof– you may leave some marks on your coffee cup!

Application Tips:

Start by prepping the lips with Lippie Primer, this will moisturize the lips and improve the texture – providing a smooth surface so that your Ultra Satin Lip goes on smoothly and lasts all day! Next, line with Lippie Pencil to perfect the lip line and fill lips in with Ultra Satin Lip.

Let’s now move on to the swatches and photos!

Pigmentation

The ColourPop Ultra Satin Lips In PRIM is a dark blackened red lipstick. Pigmentation is still superb and it never looks patchy on my lips. I really love shades like this but it kind of looks intimidating to wear inside the office. I use my dark shades anyway even if I get awkward stares. I hope that they are secretly admiring my clown face and I hope that I entertain them too. LOLs!

Texture

It feels like mousse on the lips, and it is definitely lightweight but slightly tacky when I press my lips. It takes some time to set on the lips and it won’t totally dry down to a powdery finish.

Longevity

While this does not set totally matte, it still stays for a long time especially if you don’t eat or drink much. It transfers to cups but will not really take away the color completely.

Scent

No awful scent. Fake ones smell like vanilla, but the originals smell probably like crayons.

Bang for your buck
Yes, it is worth the price for me. It is definitely one that I can recommend if you often have dry, flaky or chapped lips. This is dry lips friendly because it tends to smooth it out. This is the best formula that I’ve tried from Colourpop and I can’t wait to share more shades with you soon!
