My liquid lipstick obsession has not stopped yet or, maybe I always easily fall for hypes. Since Happy Skin is one of my favorite brands, I NEED to try their Happy Skin Glam Squad Liquid Matte Lipsticks. I’m kind of late with my review but the last time I checked, these are still available at Zalora and most likely on their local counters.
Get red carpet-ready with no extra effort. The Happy Skin Glam Squad is a limited edition collection that gives women the celebrity experience, while upholding the brand’s promise of makeup the cares for your skin.
Encased in rose gold and developed together with the country’s master makeup artists, each piece in the collection delivers pro-but-practical makeup at your fingertips for effortless, on-demand beauty.
The Happy Skin Glam Squad Liquid Matte lipstick delivers a pigmented pout with an ultra-matte finish. Expect it to glide on with high impact and intense color. Its long-wearing formula is impressively hydrating, but stays in place and gets the job done like a pro.

I got mine in the shade Rose Brown by Jigs Mayuga. Jigs is one of the country’s well-known makeup artists. Other makeup artists on the glam squad are Juan Sarte, Denise Go-Ochoa, and Mickey See. I am thinking of buying Denise’s lipstick too but I feel like I have so many lipsticks already, obviously!

Comparison (but not dupes!) of some of my liquid lipsticks from other brands.

Pigmentation is superb. I only need one dip to cover my entire lips. It does not have a runny consistency but not too thick too. It is similar to Colourpop’s consistency, I believe. This lipstick turns darker on my lips than the color on the tube but I still like the shade on me. The shade name is very on point since it looks brown and rosy. hehe. Just like most liquid lipsticks, this can look and make the lips drier. Lips should be exfoliated and moisturized first before using this to make it look good.

Colourpop Ultra Satin has 3.25 ml (0.11 oz) // Jeffree Star – 5.6 ml (0.19 oz) // Happy Skin – 4.5ml (0.15 oz)

A slight fading happens in the inner lips when eating. I notice that it transfers a bit on my cup when I drink too. I think that it still has its moisturizing properties since it does not totally set to a super bone dry matte finish.

FINAL THOUGHTS
It is not only makeup but has great benefits too. The liquid lipstick offers hydration, healing, and improved elasticity because of Cupuaçu butter. (Originating from the Rain Forest, it has the capacity to attract 240% more water ad is highly prized for its rich content.) It is pricey for P699, but it is still better than Kylie Lip Kits, in my opinion! I recommend this liquid lipstick to everyone, and I would be interested in trying more in the future!
Who else are eyeing the Disney Princesses collection? Wah!
