Banila Co. “Eye Love Cushion” Gel Eyeliner in Burgundy | Review & Swatches!
I don’t really need more eyeliners, or makeup, in general, but BeautyMNL had me buy this Banila Co. “Eye Love Cushion” Gel Eyeliner in Burgundy. It costs P720.00, for 9.5g. Maybe it was a side effect of being in Korea last November, and I was still on cloud 9 and got addicted to anything Korean.
The cushion packaging thing is all the craze now. We have BB cushion foundation, cushion blusher, cushion eyeliner, and even cushion brow. What the fad! Before I tell you more about what I think about this product, let’s have a quick look at what BeautyMNL says.

Let us now move on to my review!
Packaging. The products came in a small box. I love that the eyeliner pot has its own brush! The brush is very usable, and perfect to create a sharp wing! The pot and brush are very travel-friendly because they are small, lightweight and the cap fits tightly so there’s no worry about leaks.
To use, just dip the brush on the netted material, and by doing so, you’ll pick up just the right amount of product. Sometimes, when you dip the brush on the usual gel liners, your brush will be loaded with product, and you have to remove the excess on a tissue. This eyeliner cushion makes it easier to use a gel liner. Just dip, and apply!
Shades. There are four shades available at BeautyMNL, and they are Black, Brown, Khaki and Burgundy. I chose Burgundy because I do not have this shade yet in my makeup stash. It gives a nice pop of color and I can even wear it without other eye makeup on.
Pigmentation and Texture. This eyeliner is pigmented and applies smoothly. It doesn’t dry too quickly so you can blend and build up the color without being flaky. I usually apply just one layer!
Longevity. Once it sets, it sets. It does not smudge even if I have oily lids!
Scent. I don’t smell anything bad, or it doesn’t have any scent when you open the lid. Taste? I did not go that far. Hahaha! Kidding!
Final Thoughts. EYE LOVE IT! <3 This is one of the best gel eyeliners that I have tried. It is very similar to the Tony Moly Backstage Gel Eyeliner, if you have already tried that. I highly recommend trying this out, especially the Burgundy shade, for something fun and unique.

Very interesting! Halos lahat yata ng bago at kakaibang product sayo ko lang nalalaman. 😂 Di lang pala sa technology naguupdate, pati din pala sa makeups. Ngayon ko lang nalaman yung ganito. I have cushion kit from etude house, pero di ko pa nagagamit kasi di ko alam kung pano. At ang ganda nito kasi may ibang colors, di usual black lang.

I haven’t tried any cushion eyeliners. I haven’t tried any cushion product pala! I know that they exist and they are the IN thing now but honestly, cushion products are expensive for me. But i think i have to save up for this one because i have oily and uneven eyelids so whenever i apply eyeliners, they smudge big time! Hindi ko naman afford yun mahal na mga eyeliner na smudgeproof talaga. Interesting nga yun shade na burgundy. It can be worn alone or with a black eyeliner on the lower lash line. I’ve seen a couple of IG photos with girls wearing fun, colored eyeliners on top of black eyeliners and they look nice. Nice find, Ms. Juvy!

I was so amazed when I saw this! My first reaction was, “Wow, pati eyeliner naka-cushion na.” But I guess it works out, seeing as the consistency of the liner seems to be lighter and more aerated than the usual potted eyeliners. I was poking at the testers, and it seemed… “squishier”. I think I’d be annoyed once I get halfway through the jar, and I’d have to poke deeper into the cushion to reach the sides of the pot. However, people realistically don’t finish the entire pot naman before the product expires, so maybe it’s not such a big deal.
