Day 18: Longest Wearing Lipstick! #20daylipstickchallenge

Time really flies fast! It is now Day 18 of our #20daylipstickchallenge! This blog challenge is in collaboration with the gorgeous ladies, Rae of Scatterbraintures, Elaine of FlabsRule and Dinna! Katsy and Nat also joined in so please visit their sites as well! We are posting each weekday about lipsticks, so don’t miss them!

Long-wear is one of the factors when I decide to buy lipsticks, but it is not my top requirement because I don’t really mind retouching. I can’t pick just one lipstick for this category because I have long-wearing lipsticks in different types of  formula.

I would say that the best long-wear lipsticks are those liquid lipsticks that dry down to a matte finish. Next are Lip tints and Lip stains, and the last are MAC Retro Matte and Matte Lipsticks. Let me share with you some of my long-wearing lipsticks after the jump!

Here are some of my liquid lipsticks. The Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick is my most favorite of all. Limecrime Velvetines are great lipsticks if you’re not going to eat oily food. The Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip Liquid Lipsticks are also good but they make my lips super dry. The latest find is the theBalm Meet Matt(e) Hughes Long-lasting Liquid Lipsticks, and I also love the formula because they wear comfortably on the lips like Stila.

These Color Lips-fit are my favorites from Etude House. They dry down to a matte finish, stains, and lasts for hours on the lips. I prefer the darker shades because the lighter shades can emphasize dry, chapped lips, and lip lines. These are worth a try if you want to shop at Etude House!

Retro Matte and Matte Lipsticks are must-haves if you love long-wearing lipsticks from MAC. The Retro Mattes feel dryer on the lips but gives a good color payoff. The Matte lipsticks are your best bet if you want to wear a comfortable matte lipstick. They last for hours but will not make the lips dry.

One of the drugstore long-wearing lipsticks that I can think of is the Fashion 21 All-day Matte lipstick in Sushi. A Review will be up soon! 🙂
