Day 14: Ombre Lip or Lipstick Combo! #20daylipstickchallenge

The week flies by so fast ’cause here we are at Day 14 of our #20daylipstickchallenge! This blog challenge is in collaboration with the gorgeous ladies, Rae of Scatterbraintures, Elaine of FlabsRule and Dinna! Ombre Lip probably started in Korea because they love to wear a more natural look and they often use stains to achieve an ombre lip. I don’t really wear a lip combo, or ombre lip that much because it’s too fussy to do. I want a quick swipe and I am out the door. I have some ideas though if you are into them. The things you need are two lipsticks or lip products with complementing shades and there must be a light and a dark shade.

I have two sets to show you…

For this combo, I applied the Ever Bilena Matte Lipstick in Mauvey on the outside part of my lips. To achieve the deeper red shade in the inner lips, I applied Nichido Matte Lipstick in Runaway Red. These two lipsticks are very affordable because they cost only under 200 pesos each.

This next combo is using the Preview & Happy Skin Limited Edition Shut Up & Kiss Me Moisturizing Matte Lippies. They are shades that belong to the two ends of the spectrum but still perfect to pair with. I really don’t wear Too Cool on its own because it kind of washes me out, but if I add Hot Stuff in the inner lips, they become wearable! They are also matte finishes so they have a good staying power.

If you don’t have a light shade, you may use a concealer on the outside part of your lips. It works well too!
