Drugstore Finds: Golden Rose Velvet Matte Lipstick 05 Review, Photos, Swatches!
Most girls will probably agree with me that their favorite makeup product is lipstick. I have a lot and counting! LOL! It can make the face look alive and fresh even without putting on anything else. I always drop by Watsons that’s why I always spot new beauty brands that come here in the Philippines. One of the latest brands I spotted was Golden Rose. Visit their website HERE.
I want to try some of their products, so I started with lipsticks. I bought two shades first, 05 and 09. There are no specific names on the tubes so it is hard to memorize them, but it is alright. What is more important is how the product delivers, right?!
Let’s know more about the lipstick after the jump!
Golden Rose Velvet Matte Lipstick creates matte velvety finish on the lips with its high pigmented and long wearing formula. Smoothly glides, nourishes and hydrates your lips thanks to the moisturizing agent and Vitamin E in the formula. From pure red to nude, it is available in 27 rich shade alternatives. The formulation is paraben free and dermatologically tested.
The Golden Rose Velvet Matte Lipstick comes in the usual twist-up lipstick tube. It has 4.2 grams, and it costs only P199.00 at SM North Main Beauty Section.
Golden Rose Velvet Matte Lipsticks 05 for me is more peach than an orange shade. It is not too bright and it suits my medium skin tone perfectly. It makes my face brighter and younger! (naks!) It was love at first swipe! Hahaha!
Applying this lipstick is a breeze. It glides on smoothly and it is very pigmented. The tip makes it easier to draw a precise line. The light shades may accentuate lip lines, but I did not notice that with this shade. It did not moisturize nor made my lips chapped at the end of the day. It has a very faint to no scent. It does not stain the lips after it fades.
Longevity-wise, I don’t have any complaints!!! It did set beautifully with just minimal fading when I had a cup of coffee. It will definitely fade after eating a meal because it is not like liquid lipsticks that need oil to be removed. For the price, it is super worth it for me.
I paired this lipstick with matte eyeshadows so that they won’t clash. One tip that I always follow is to focus on one area of the face at a time. Either the eyes or lips! So on this makeup look, I want my lips to be the center of attention. 🙂
Overall, I am impressed! I will probably try their other products and let you know about them! Have you tried anything from this brand yet?
Until next time, friends! Have a great week!

This looks beautiful on you Juvy! Is it transfer-proof?
Juvy
It will transfer but not too much and it will eventually fade after eating. 🙂

Is there any smell and how was your lips after using it the entire day? Nag dry ba sya ng sobra? Also does ut stain the lips? Hehe thanks
Juvy
Very faint to no scent. Hindi nag-dry yung lips ko, and hindi siya nag-stain.

Thanks for the correction, Roena! Yes, it is 199! I checked again at SM North Main bldg. because I initially said that I wasn’t sure. I already updated the price above. 🙂

Parang wala pa nito sa Makati. Looks so good on you. Currently into these types of orange shades. Either burnt orange or yung parang claypot color.
Ang saya! More drugstore matte lipsticks. Finally. Sunod sunod na.
Juvy
