Drugstore Finds: City Color BE MATTE Blush in Pink Grapefruit Review!
I am a blush girl, and I can’t deny that! I almost always end up looking like someone slapped my face because my eyes always fail me and I end up applying a lot. I just can’t get enough how they make me look more youthful and alive! I look like a zombie without any makeup on so I need to add all these colors in my life!!!
Today, let me share this beautiful and affordable blush from City Color called City Color Be Matte Blush.
City Color Cosmetics is a full range beauty company committed to offering premier quality, affordably priced cosmetics. Since its launch in 2013, City Color has aimed to provide both professionals and newcomers with the tools necessary to develop and perfect their knowledge and experience with cosmetics. Inspired by the lifestyle and energy of a global metropolis, City Color brings finely produced formulas, highly pigmented shades, and on-trend collections while always maintaining pocket-friendly prices. City Color’s mission is to equip everyone from the countryside to the city with professional-quality makeup.
The City Color Be Matte Blush gives the cheek a rich but natural look. It is formulated with ultra-fine pressed powder, for an easy-to-blend application. It is also very pigmented so it is best to apply with a light hand for a more natural look!
I bought this blush from MakeUpHub for P350.00, but you can also buy them now at BeautyMNL.com for only P300.00! The shade range at BeautyMNL is very limited, though. It has 8.90 grams which is a lot for a blush.
Let me tell you more about this blush after the jump!
The blush comes in a plastic packaging which is durable enough as it closes tightly and it never popped open inside my makeup bag. I like that it has a see-through cover so it is easy to see the shade inside the pan.
There are eight shades to choose from: Dragonfruit, Toasted Coconut, Blackberry, Fresh Melon, Blood Orange, Guava, Papaya and Pink Grapefruit.
The shade above is called Pink Grapefruit. Pink Grapefruit is a bright blue-based pink blush. It looks very intimidating in the pan, but I am glad that it doesn’t look clownish or odd on my cheeks. This shade reminds me of Nars Desire or Nars Gaiety, don’t you think?
One Layer – Two Layers – Three Layers
It is easy to build up the product depending on the intensity that you want. I am very careful not to overapply this blush on my cheeks because it can really go overboard! It can be a bit powdery if you are not careful when dipping your brush on the pan.
I applied the blush lightly on the apples of my cheeks and you can see how very natural it is. I only applied one layer here. I usually use an angled blush brush to apply my blush. I love how it made me look really “blushing”! It looks very cute and girly.
This blush is also long-wearing, and cruelty-free! I highly recommend this blush if you are looking for a blush that is long-wearing, pigmented, and will last you a lifetime! LOL!

I am not a big fan of blush, I’m more of a bronzer-type of girl hehe. How long did it stay on your face? My friends who are using this told me it lasted 4-5 hours on them but mine only lasted around 2-3 hours. I guess it’s just my skin. Sayang, i have the toasted coconut shade and it is lovely. I just use na lang tuloy as eyeshadow hehe

I loved this as well! I got this in Guava and it has a little of brown in it, so when I’m in a rush and have no time for contouring, I use that for instant blush + contour. 🙂
Do you notice the kind of sweet smell from it too?
Juvy
Guava is a nice shade too! I didn’t notice the smell. Hmm.. I will sniff it later. lol! 😀
