Happy Skin Shut Up & Kiss Me Power Pout Moisturizing Lip Lacquer in “Hear Me Roar”!
Are you the type of person who gets excited with new makeup releases? I admit that I am!
Happy Skin is one of my favorite brands. Whenever they send emails about new releases, I am surely one of the people who waits until midnight to get the first dibs!
Last August 1, 2015, their new shades of Shut Up & Kiss Me Moisturizing Matte Lippies and their new line, Shut Up & Kiss Me Power Pout Moisturizing Lip Lacquers became available at Zalora, and I am so happy that I was one of the first 200 bought and who got two eyeliner for FREE!
Today, I will share one of the Lip Lacquers called “Hear Me Roar”! There are two other shades to choose from and they are Royal Treatment and Strong and Sexy but let us save those for later since I still don’t have them. Each lip lacquer costs P699.00!
The Happy Skin Shut Up & Kiss Me Power Pout Moisturizing Lip Lacquer provides picture-perfect lustrous shine and weightless full-on color without any tacky feel. They cover lips in one swipe giving you an even finish. It’s so highly pigmented that you don’t need to layer lipstick underneath. One coat is all you need for feather-light color and shine without the stickiness.
Red is my favorite color, and a lot of people often tell me that it really suits my skin tone. I really wanted to get all three shades of the lip lacquers, but I am not sure how I will like them and they are a bit expensive so I chose no other than the red shade to try first.
The lip lacquer comes with a leaf-shaped applicator which bends a little when you apply the product on. I think that it makes the application a breeze because I can easily trace my lips with it in no time.
Hear Me Roar is a HOT red-orange shade that will flatter any skin tone! It applies very opaque and it really doesn’t feel tacky or sticky at all. I agree that I don’t have to apply any lipstick on because it is full of pigments. The best part is that it makes the lips moisturized without being goopy. It also does not travel out of the lip lines.
It is so beautiful especially when layered on! I think two layers would be too much, but if you want the intensity, GO FOR IT! I personally like just one layer on because this color is a bit high maintenance and might travel on to my teeth. It happens every time! I also don’t want to feel that I am wearing something on my lips especially because this does not set like a matte or liquid matte lipstick.
This will definitely come off when you drink or eat because it is not a long-wearing and smudge-proof lipstick, but it being not goopy would make it last longer on the lips than a lip gloss.
Overall, I really like it! It is something that I will wear when I want to stay away from my usual matte lip products. My lips can’t stand wearing matte lip products all the time, so this will be a good option.
I am still contemplating if I will get the other shades. Do you think I should? Hehehe. Hope this review helped and stay tuned for more beauty musings!
Have a wonderful day!

Does it bleed? No lipliner needed? You apply so evenly. <3 I have issues with liquid lip products, especially bolder shades, because of my unsteady hands. Haha. Red is definitely your color, Juvy. 🙂

I don’t think it does, but I will let you know asap! 😀

Confirmed. It doesn’t bleed. After four hours, still vibrant even after I drank a cup of coffee and ate a sandwich! 😀

This looks like a really pretty color <3 And I agree with the matte thing. My lips are pretty dry so I try to avoid them when I can. Thanks for the review!

Well, this one rocks! Bagay sya sayo =) I used to be a fan of orange red shades however lately, I’ve been sporting more darker hues. I love Happy Skin lippies though they tend to be a bit expensive.

I’m personally not into lacquer lippies because my huge lips look ungainly with too much shine. On you, this looks awesome! I love how even and opaque it applies.

Wow! That’s a very red lipstick to use. I don’t think this is something I’d personally use but I know a few people who loves to wear this kind of shade. I’ll share this with them. 🙂
