Drugstore Finds: L.A. Girl Eyeshadow Collection NUDES Palette!
I love finding gems in our local drugstores! Another one that I scored a few weeks ago was this L.A. Girl Eyeshadow Collection NUDES Palette! The shades remind me so much of the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette but with a very affordable price tag of P499.00 like the L.A. Girl Blush Collection Palette! Call me an eyeshadow palettes hoarder because YES, I do LOVE them so much. It’s always convenient to use palettes with coordinating shades than to have several singles to mix and match. They are also better for travelling because most of them are compact and lightweight.
The palette comes with a dual-ended brush and foam applicator that I can see myself using. The brush side is great to pack on the eyeshadows. How I wish that the foam side is a blending brush, though.
First 6 shades from the Left
Last 6 shades from the Left
The palette has twelve lovely shades that are mostly with pink tones. Unfortunately, each shade doesn’t have a name but I don’t think it’s a big deal anyway. Some shades apply a little powdery especially the matte shades, but they still build up nicely and has good pigmentation. The best shades are the shimmery ones because I find them to be quite creamy and they apply smoothly and evenly when swatched. However, they will apply best on the eyelids if used with a wet brush. I usually do that trick when I want my eyeshadows to really stand out.
L.A. Girl Eyeshadow Collection NUDES Palette versus Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette
I can really call the L.A. Girl Eyeshadow Collection NUDES Palette as a dupe of the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette. Not all the shades are exactly alike and the similar shades are not exactly in order in the L.A. Girl Palette.
I swatched the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette in order while below it are the L.A. Girl eyeshadows that are similar to them. I think the only shades that are not in the L.A. Girl Palette are Liar, Factory, and Mugshot which are the 8th, 9th, and 10th shades. I noticed that the shimmery pink shades look similar with each other too so that’s kind of a bummer. I wish that they could have added warm brown, cool brown, and taupe.
Overall, I think that this palette is nice if you don’t have any palettes yet, and if you love to wear pink shades a lot. I personally love the Urban Decay Naked 1 and 2 Palettes more because they suit my medium warm complexion better than Naked 3. Still, it is an affordable palette and it can create a lot of different looks. The shades have a good variety and the eyeshadows also last long with a good primer beneath it.
What do you think of this palette? I want to know your thoughts!!!

Ok na sakin, ‘to since I’m not much of an eyeshadow person. I only bought one high end palette. The charlotte tilbury sophisticate because I need one really good neutral palette na medyo cooler-toned.
