Drugstore Finds: L.A. Girl Blush Collection in Spice!

Drugstore Finds: L.A. Girl Blush Collection in Spice!

LA Girl Blush Collection in Spice

I love blushes because they make me look healthy and alive even if I am very stressed and without enough sleep. It’s an instant pick me up for me too. I also love the idea of contouring and highlighting because they make a lot of difference on my “plump cheeks” and round face. I can’t live without my contour every freakin’ day! I have to have it together with my brows and lipstick!

Today’s something exciting because it’s not everyday that we see a collection of cheek products in one palette in our local drugstores! I did not leave the beauty section without this L.A. Girl Blush Collection in Spice. I’ve seen this blush collection all over YouTube and Instagram, and I knew then that I have to get it! This blush collection costs P499.00 at Watsons that sell L.A. Girl.

Let’s now take a look at this blush collection!

LA Girl Blush Collection in Spice (2)

LA Girl Blush Collection in Spice (3)

The packaging is a cardboard with a magnetic closure. There a two blush shades, one bronzer shade, and one highlight shade. It is labeled as such in the palette, but those letters will be erased after several uses.

LA Girl Blush Collection in Spice 1

The first blush shade is a dark coral or burnt orange shade. It is matte and it has a nice creamy texture. It should be applied sparingly because it is very pigmented!

LA Girl Blush Collection in Spice 2

The other blush shade is a light pink shimmery shade. Though there are visible shimmers in the pan, it doesn’t look shimmery on my cheeks. It also doesn’t feel gritty at all. It also has a nice creamy texture.

LA Girl Blush Collection in Spice Bronzer

The bronzer shade is matte in texture. It has a warm undertone and has a tinge of orange in it. On my medium skin, it looks ok. I like this kind of shade for my contour or bronzer.

LA Girl Blush Collection in Spice Highlight

The highlight is a champagne shade with golden glitters. The glitters do not feel gritty at all. It is very similar to Mary Lou-manizer when I swatched them side by side except for the shade. Mary Lou-manizer is whiter than this highlighter.

LA Girl Blush Collection in Spice Swatches

I love this palette to bit! I have worn all the shades everyday since I got this palette. They lasted for a long time on me, probably a good ten hours with minimal fading inside an air-conditioned office. For its price, I highly recommend getting this palette! It is such a steal!

I think that L.A. Girl is really stepping up on their makeup products. I love their concealer, matte lip pigments, and my first ever products from them which are their Gel Glide Eyeliner Pencils!

I highly recommend this blush collection. Great quality and affordable too!

I love their concealers! I’m gonna try the blushes. Which Watsons branch did you get this?

I’m a blush girl! 😀
Blush+Highlighter+Bronzer! Pigmentation looks good pala especially thier highlighter. Some drugstore highlighters kasi doesn’t appear sa skin or doesn’t stay atleast 2 hrs when applied.

Yes, ok ang quality nito. Fine yung powder and creamy IMO! 🙂

Hi ate Juvy, I’m a long time reader of yours & this is my first time to leave a comment 🙂 I didn’t notice this product the last time I walked pass by an LA girl counter. I do own their Nudes eyeshadow palette which is sooo beautiful. I love that the Spice blush collection has a bronzer & highlight in it! Also, I agree that it is a steal because of the price and the size of the products inside. I’m definitely going to check this out the next time I visit SM dept store.

Wow, thanks for finally commenting! Don’t be shy, and just comment away! I truly appreciate them.
Hope you can find and grab your own blush collection. It’s very affordable and it does deliver!
    Have a great day!

I used to brush this brand off lang pero ganda ng pigmentation niya sa swatch ha. And 10 hours for blush / highlighter / bronzer is NO JOKE! I wanna tryyyyy

    Juvy Posted on 6:15 am - Aug 13, 2015

Hope it lives up to your standards, Tellie! Try mo rin yung gel liner pencils nila if you haven’t yet. 😀

Thank you so much for this review. I never would have wandered over to one of their stalls otherwise. Super sulit! Just 125 per pan (or 167, because I highlight but don’t contour-contour) at that quality 😀

    Juvy Posted on 6:12 am - Aug 13, 2015

Welcome, Valerie! Glad my review helped. I am constantly browsing the aisles of the beauty section kasi kaya kung ano-ano nakikita ko. As always, I will blog everything!!! 🙂

Glow is pretty too. The lighter set of colors on that might be better suited to paler skin. Parang masaya din to experiment on contouring with this palette, because it’s affordable. 🙂

I don’t think Glow is available here eh. Diba 4 variants dapat ito. Unfortunately, di lahat dumadating dito satin.

It is! I dragged her over to the counter the very next day after reading this. They didn’t have a tester though

Oh nice! Check ko nga bukas. Lol..

8 out of 10, I’d wear a cheek tint. I am not that expert yet in applying blushes pero I don’t look like a clown naman when I apply one. The contour and highlight thing is something that I seldom do. Like, I think I’ve only done that twice or thrice? Gotta watch more video tutorials and read more to learn and eventually, master the craft (^-^)

    Juvy Posted on 5:40 am - Aug 19, 2015

If your face is not so round naman, you can skip the contour. Ako kasi, I NEED IT. LOL! I also loved cheek tints back when I was in College. But now, I usually wear powders na since I have more time to do my makeup. 🙂
