FOTD: Perpetual Purple!

FOTD: Perpetual Purple!

Purple Makeup Flat Lay

I am liking the “Face of the Day” posts lately. If you’ve followed me on Instagram, then you would know that I love experimenting with different eyeshadow looks (all day) everyday! Another reason too is because I have a thousand and one palettes that I want to use up! I don’t want them to rot and be put to waste. I don’t want to sell them either because I always have a problem letting go. Hahaha!

Anyway, today’s FOTD, from the title itself, is all about purple. The star of the show is the L’Oreal Infallible Eye Shadow in Perpetual Purple. If only I can get all the shades from this line because they are fantastic! I have three shades so far. The other two shades that I equally love are Blinged and Brilliant and Endless Sea. I should do FOTDs using these two soon! Below are the swatches.

I always start with an eye primer and a base eyeshadow powder that is close to my skin. Next, I blend a brown/warm eyeshadow shade over my crease using the Laguna bronzer from the Nars The Happening Palette. To deepen it more, I used the bronzer shade from the Flower Beauty Blush Bronzer Duo. For the eyelid, I initially used the purple shade from the Nars The Happening Palette but I didn’t like the pigmentation so I took my L’Oreal Infallible Eye Shadow in Perpetual Purple and boom! my eyelids were colorful and vibrant as I want them to be.

To deepen the outer parts of my eyelids, and lower lash line, I used the dark brown shade from the Nars palette. The eyeliner I used was the Laura Mercier Creme Eye Liner in Noir. (You need this gel eye liner!) For mascara, I used the Clinique High Impact Mascara in Black. (Another favorite!). I am using the Anastasia Dip Brow Pomade in Chocolate for my strong brows, by the way. (Too overdone! Hehe!)

The blusher I used is from the Nars Guy Bourdin One Night Stand Cheek Palette called Goulue with Laguna bronzer all over my face. For my lips, I used the Happy Skin Lip and Cheek Mousse in The Morning After.

Here’s the final look!

Hope you liked today’s look! I have a more wearable and “natural” look for you next time using fewer products!

Have a great weekend!

You’re so adventurous with your looks! I wish I could pull off purple EOTDs 😀

Thanks, Yette! Makeup picks me up. I have to say, I hate looking the same everyday. Haha! 😛

Love your FOTD choices, as always. Mine are so repetitive, I would probably do FOTDs for one week and then repeat-repeat-repeat.

Thanks, Tellie! I think you should try to recreate Korean makeup by different artists from there! 😀

Match your blouse and blog layout as well! 😀 and I also got those hairy hands (and arms as well!) Do you prefer using fingers or brushes for your eye makeup? 🙂

For more intensity, I usually use my fingers. It shows the shimmer way better than a brush. Wetting the brush also does the trick! 🙂

Perpetual purple is a very nice shade! Please do an endless sea as well 🙂 these gave me a motivation to do more adventurous ES colors…

I love how the purple peeks out only when you half (or full) close your eyes! Beautiful!

😮 Perpetual Purple is the shizz! I want one now. Hahaha. I scrolled down and it was–BAM! I’ve been reading about L’Oreal Infallible a lot this week. Someone even recommended it. Maybe it’s time I checked it out. 🙂
