CoverGirl LipPerfection Lipcolor in Divine Review, Photo, Swatch!
When I got so into makeup, I embraced the thought that makeup is only temporary and can be washed off. That thought made me confident in trying different looks. The easiest way to do so is to try different shades of lipsticks. If you don’t like a shade, you can easily wipe it off and move on. It’s fun to try and find the color that suits me well, and there are shades that made me look dead, and not so pretty. My lipstick collection grew so much and I honestly need to declutter to make room for more. Hahaha! Hopefully I can declutter soon and do a blog sale. Who’s interested?
Anyhow, I have a few shades of every color, I think, and the fewest that I have are purples, and oranges. These two shades are fun colors, but not for everyday for me. I’ve posted my little collection of Violet/Purple lip products way back, some I still wear, and some I already gave away. An addition to those is this CoverGirl LipPerfection Lipcolor in Divine.
CoverGirl LipPerfection Lipcolor in Divine (P395.00) is like a sister of MAC Lipstick in Heroine but definitely brighter and creamier in finish. It is purple shade with pink undertones and I notice that it leaves a beautiful stain on my lips when the creaminess wears off. It is never drying on my lips, and definitely long-wearing. It glides very smoothly and feels so comfortable on the lips.
I have reviewed other shades of this lipstick line on this blog. Click on the following links: HOT PASSION & SULTRY if you want to check them out!
Pigmentation is from medium to full. I usually wear more than one layer to get the opacity that I want. I love wearing this shade for a nice pop of color on my face. This can we worn with minimal makeup, but you will still look put together because of the flattering shade.
One thing that may put you off a bit is the scent/taste. It has a slight chemically scent that is noticeable when applied. I am personally not that bothered by it because it goes away after a while.
I love to pair this lipstick with a more natural eyeshadow look but since makeup has no boundaries, feel free to pair it with a smokey eye. I think it still looks great with a heavy eye look if done beautifully. Will I recommend this lipstick? Totally!!! It’s a nice unique shade and formula that really stands out from the rest.
Let me know if you have this lipstick, or if you want to try it!
Thanks for reading, and watch out for my next reviews and looks!

Violet lipsticks are my forever weakness. Gandaaa, Juvy! If this is matte, I’d buy it faster than a heartbeat! Haha <3

I love matte lipsticks too, but Covergirl lipsticks are just awesome for me esp. this lipstick line. I still have several shades to show! Hehe. Thanks for dropping by, Kim! <3

beautiful shade, but I stopped buying bright lippies as of the moment, since I feel like I have quite a few of them already. Anyway I got 4 of them last year, but they were all neutral shades and Sultry was my fave ^_^
Here’s the link if you’re interested to the other shades. hehe

I want to start buying purple and marsala lipsticks next. It’s already the middle of the year, and I still haven’t tried either one out. :p I’d have done it the same way with this kind of lip color, pairing it with simpler (liner-centric) eye makeup. Mabilis ako ma-conscious if I did it with a smokey eye.

This looks like it’s between MAC Heroine and MAC Flat Out Fabulous. Could be a dupe for NARS Audacious Silvia, too.
