I admit that I am a sucker for packaging! When MAC Cosmetics released this limited editionย Isabel and Ruben Toledo Collection,ย I knew I have to get them, especially the lipsticks! Lo and behold, carefreeshopper sold it before the collection hits Manila, Philippines, so I got two shades of lipsticks. (FYI, a lot of stocks are left at carefreeshopper, as of today!)
I haven’t worn them for a full day, but if you are familiar with MAC’s matte lipsticks, then you know the drift. Let’s now take a closer look!
I can’t say enough praises about the design of the lipsticks. It is so beautiful! While I like the velvet-y texture, it will definitely be a dirt magnet as time passes by.
The two shades that I bought were Oxblood and Sin.ย Both have matte finishes andย Sin is a permanent shade so this won’t run out!
Oxblood is a light peachy nude shade. I wonder why it was named like that because blood is definitely not peach! LOLs. For my medium skin, it made me look pale, to be honest. I would have to pair this with a darker lip liner to make it work. Regardless, I am glad to have this shade on my collection.
Sin is a deep blood-red with a matte finish. This shade was on my wishlist! I didn’t think twice of getting this shade in a cute packaging! Though it isย matte, it dragged myย lips like a retro matte. The texture is drier but the pigmentation is opaque and lasts long. I am definitely in love with this shade! *happy dance!*
This collection launched last March 13, 2015 here in the Philippines. Grab some shades if you can! Limited edition lipsticks cost Php 1,100 here. (Correct me if I’m wrong!) ๐
That’s all for today’s post. I am so busy this week. Hopefully, I’ll have more time to post about different topics aside from lipsticks! I hope I don’t bore you that much.
Until my next post!
