Happy Skin did it again! They made a dent on my wallet again. Haha! This is not my very first lip set from Happy Skin, but this is my first post about them. I started collecting the Happy Skin Shut Up & Kiss Me Moisturizing Lippies since they came out with the Summer Edition set, and since then, I collected a bunch! I think I am only missing less than five to complete my collection.

One thing, I love all the Happy Skin Shut Up & Kiss Me Moisturizing Lippies! They really moisturize my often dry and chapped lips, but my lips never felt greasy! Some of the shades may leave a stain for longer lasting wear.

Today, let me share my latest collection.

Happy Skin gets StyLIZed with a limited-edition collaboration with style icon Liz Uy! The fashion editor & celebrity stylist presents the three key lip hues to add to your style wardrobe: 24 CARATS (pink), RED CARPET (red), and STYLE ICON (nude). Like true style essentials, these lippies can be worn on different occasions and worn multiple ways. A must-have for every girl who wants to be StyLIZed!

I would like to share how it looks on me. I have a medium skin tone, and I think most Filipino women have the same complexion like mine. Hope that this post will be helpful!

The very first shade is STYLE ICON (nude). I was very hesitant to buy the set at first because I thought that this color will just wash me out. I was wrong. This shade is lighter than Honeymoon Glow which was a previous shade released last year, but a very close dupe of my Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Naked! I got surprised when I swatched them side by side.

The STYLE ICON is an everyday shade. It is perfect to wear with smokey eyes too if ever you want to wear it on a night out. Below is the comparison of some of the Happy Skin “nude” Lippies in my collection so that you can decide if you need this.

Next shade is 24 CARATS (pink). It is a bright, almost neon pink but still easy to wear, in my opinion. This shade leaves a slight stain after just minutes of wearing it.

The last shade is RED CARPET (red). Surprisingly, out of all the red shades in my collection, I can’t find a dupe! Limecrime Velvetines in Red Velvet is deeper, but they have the same tint. It is far from Wet N Wild’s Stoplight Red and Red Velvet.

Aside from the Lippies, the acrylic case is nice. The Leather set costs Php 1,499. If you add 300, you’ll get the acrylic set. The acrylic case is well-made and can store some of your makeup or maybe your phone. It is not that heavy, so you can keep it in your bag. It is a bit bigger than an iPhone 6, in case you are wondering.

Do you need to buy this set? YES, if you are a hoarder like me, and NO, if you have similar shades! 🙂 It’s really a matter of preference but overall, I am happy with my purchase.

Hope that this review, swatch, picture overload post helped. See you on my next one!

Happy Monday, Guys!

So I was so ready to buy this but when I visited Beauty Bar Gateway yesterday, they didn’t have it yet. Di naman ako makalipat ng mall coz I had to rush home to my little girl. Argh. Soon!!!! I love Happy Skin. I only have one so far and I’m so happy with it, it never leaves my purse! Haha

I bought mine from Plains and Prints (SM North). Maybe, try their stores if wala sa BB. 🙂

Gorgeous swatches – and wow @ your Happy Skin lip collection 0.0 I know who to go to na for advice on their lippies. Personally I don’t think any of these shades will suit me or are remarkable enough to be must-haves, but the opacity and shine look impressive. They seem like great additions if people don’t already own those similar colors!

Rae Posted on 4:03 am - Feb 10, 2015

Ok. Wow. Style Icon is THE perfect pinky nude lipstick for you (must be for me, too, but NO! Must resist).
I only have one of these lippies — honeymoon glow, and it was a pleasant surprise.

Love your swatches! And that acrylic case is really cute!

    Juvy Posted on 1:10 am - Feb 11, 2015

Thanks, Pat! I looked more tired than usual on the pics nga kasi that was taken after work. Mega-swatch na agad because I am that excited. Hehe. 🙂

I have yet to “pass judgement” on this line. :)) The colors here in particular look so different on different people. On Liz Lanuzo, the orange-red of Red Carpet really comes out. On you, it’s more red-red than with her. I guess I have to swatch for myself first, but I’m not really looking to get anything from this line just yet. I have my sights set on Nars Dragon Girl. Do ya think it’s any good?

    Juvy Posted on 2:27 am - Feb 12, 2015

I think the shade depends on how pigmented the lips are? I look so anemic without any lipstick. Haha! I am not really a fan of the Velvet Matte line. I like the Satin one more. 🙂

Shari Posted on 8:16 pm - Feb 14, 2015

Style Icon looks perfect on your skintone, Juvy! Feeling ko sakin medyo magmumukha siyang pale ;( For some reason, I’ve never been attracted to these Happy Skin lipsticks but I think I’m just overwhelmed with the selection and nothing really pops out to me. Grabe girl, RED really is your shade – super lahat ata ng reds bagay sayo!

    Juvy Posted on 12:10 pm - Feb 15, 2015

Red is really my fave sa kahit ano, actually. Haha! Tama ka madaming shades but they are the best fat lip pencils I’ve tried and so easy to retouch pa. Di lang siya balm but like a real lipstick.

Niña Posted on 1:11 pm - Feb 20, 2015

Style Icon and Red Carpet are beautiful colors! The red is my favorite on you 🙂

    Juvy Posted on 1:28 pm - Feb 20, 2015

Thanks, Nina! Red is definitely my favorite shade!
