FOREVER 21 High Pigment Gloss in Burgundy Swatch and Review
I am not really a lip gloss type of girl but if I find a nice formula with an affordable price, I need to share it! This FOREVER 21 High Pigment Gloss in Burgundy (Php 200+) was an impulse buy while I was looking for new accessories inside the store. I thought the shade is so perfect for the season and because it says “High Pigment” got me really curious. I am curious if it will live up to its claim because I know that a lip gloss is normally sheer and worn on top of a lipstick.
Let’s now check the deets!
The packaging is the usual tube with a doe-foot applicator. This has net wt. 0.12 oz. which is a lot for a lip gloss because I can never go through a tube in my lifetime!
Yes, the swatches are really pigmented that can classify like a liquid lipstick. The game changes though when applied on the lips.
With one layer, it gives a good amount of pigment, because my lips are naturally pale but it doesn’t really look like the swatch. I am not really disappointed here because it is still a lip gloss, and I expected it to be sheer. This lip gloss is very similar to my Revlon Colorburst Lip Gloss in Bordeaux but for half the price!
The picture above shows two layers of gloss. I personally like to add another layer because the color builds up. I am not bothered that it will slip out of my lips because the formula is very good. Not thick, greasy, or sticky! It is very similar to the NYX Butter Gloss’ formula but a bit more sticky. The scent is subtle sweet scent and there’s no aweful taste. What I like about this gloss is that it keeps my lips hydrated and when I take it off, it leaves the moisture in like the Maybelline Lip Polish, if you’ve tried that.
Overall, this one’s a great find if you love lip gloss that has good color pigment. It won’t break the bank if you want different colors, and it is readily available from all Forever 21 stores.
My greeting came in late but I hope you are all having a great holiday season!

The color on the arm swatch looks amazing! Too bad that it didn’t come out with the same level of pigmentation on the lips. Glad you liked it tho. I’m still not a fan of lip gloss haha. But I want to try some of Forever 21’s blushes and bronzers 😀

Haven’t been to Forever21 in such a long time that I had no idea they carried cosmetics. 😮
I know H&M has ’em, but too bad the makeup isn’t available yet in the Philippines.

I am interested in Topshop cosmetics due to a lot of good reviews on some of their makeup! Sayang wala din ata dito…
