Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Melted Ruby Review & Swatch!
Get the staying power of a stain, the intense color of a liquid lipstick and the high shine of a gloss in one long-wear formula.
Red lipsticks lift up my mood so when I was picking up which color to try from the Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick line, I chose Melted Ruby.
Melted Ruby ($21.00 for 0.40 fl. oz.) is a “blood red.” It’s a vibrant, medium-dark cherry red with cool, pinky undertones and a satin finish. -temptalia
There are ten shades available from the Too Faced website so there is a definitely a shade for everyone.
I purchased my tube from Carefreeshopper for Php 1,150. I think it is very affordable for the quality and amount of product because this liquid lipstick is so pigmented, and the staying power is really commendable! Let me now share more details and how this lipstick performs.
The tube has a fuzzy felt-tip applicator that works well! It dispenses the product from the tiny holes when you squeeze it, and the product comes out slowly so it won’t drip or gets messy that quickly. I have control on how much product I want to squeeze out of the tube. It will also be easy to apply this lipstick on the go!
The shade is how I like it! On my lips, it turns to a pink-y color when I put a small amount. If I apply it generously like on the picture, it really shows the cherry red shade. Since it is a red color, I would suggest using a lip liner to avoid bleeding outside the lip lines.
The texture of this lipstick is smooth, and it easily glides on the lips. It is not matte but like a satin lipstick. It has a thin consistency so it feels as if nothing is on my lips. Some people like a thicker lipstick but I prefer both, so I have no issues on that.
This lipstick does stay long and it stains my lips. I can’t tell if the lighter shades does that too because this is the only one I have for now. It is not transfer-proof but the pigment stays on the lips and turns to a stain after hours of wearing it. It also fades evenly so it won’t leave the lips looking patchy. By the way, It does not make the lips moisturized so it needs to be prepped!
Do I recommend it? ABSOLUTELY! It is one of the best liquid lipsticks that I have tried, and I will not hesitate to get more shades. If ever, I will get “Melted Fig” next.
Have you tried the Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipsticks?

I kinda want but since I still prefer matte lipsticks, nagdadalawang isip pa ko haha. But just in case, I’ll probably get my hands on Nude, Fig and Berry 😀 I would have gone for Ruby but for some reason, bright reds do not seem to attract me these past few months. Hehe

I am scared of liquid lipsticks in general because I think the application is kinda intimidating but the idea of tiny holes is brilliant! I wish my PRO Longwear concealer has this para hindi nakakagulat! hahaha! Melted Ruby looks pretty on you! Great choice! xx

I want to get more shades! Hehe. I like this more than the doe-foot liquid lipsticks. This really has a more brilliant packaging, and the product is great! 🙂

Juv, does the shine tone down, at least? I want fig 😀
Juvy
It does! 🙂 Also, if you blend it using your fingers, it will be less creamy. The consistency is similar to OCC, but thicker and the scent is not minty but sweet. Hehe

I have Melted Nude, and when compared to Echo Park of ColourPop, it’s a dupe on my lips. lol Since it’s a light shade, it tends to wear off like a normal lipstick and transfers, too. Whether on cups or just at the back of your hand.
