The Body Shop All-in-One Tinted Concealer + Primer Instablur Eye Review & Swatch!
Welcome back to my blog! From my last haul post, a lot of you asked for a review about the The Body Shop All-in-One Tinted Concealer + Primer Instablur Eye so here it is! I actually read few reviews already but hope I will still be able to add more information about this product.
One tube of this tinted concealer + primer has 10 ml of product, and costs Php 895. I bought mine from SM North, the Block. It had been weeks since I got this, and I have tested it a few times to be able to come up with my own thoughts about it. I took some before and after photos, and made gifs so that you will be able to notice the difference. Let’s start!
The product looks odd when I first squeezed it out of the tube. It is not a liquid-y product but more like a mousse. The sales assistant told me to be careful when I squeeze out the product because you can’t really control the amount that comes out because of its texture.
The product actually melts easily over my skin when spread, and it also does that when I apply it over or under my eyes. There is no tugging, and it gives me enough time to spread it evenly before it sets. It is silicone-like in texture, and I don’t think it has a scent.
I have used it under my eyes and it really lives up to its claims that it instantly blurs the fine lines and dark under eye circles BUT the blurring effect is not really enough to cover very dark under eye circles. I still need to use my usual concealers for coverage. I think this really works best as a primer because my concealer goes on smoothly over this, but I don’t think it affects the longevity. I have an oily T-zone, and my eyes tear up a lot so my concealer usually smudges or will be gone during the day. I usually reapply my concealer if I need to.
As an eyeshadow primer, I give it two thumbs up! My eyeshadows lasted until I have to take them off, which is usually more than 12 hours, but I noticed that they creased a bit. Still, it worked well for that purpose. I also believe that my eyeshadows became true to color because of it.
Below are before and after photos when I applied it under my eyes:
I really have very dark under eye circles as you can see but the Instablur Eye was able to blur them a bit, and the fine lines were not as deep on the after photo.
It was able to fill up the deep fine lines and smooth it out. I really think it works perfectly as a primer!
Overall, I recommend this product if you want a good primer for over or under the eyes. I recommend it too if you only want a very light coverage under the eyes, and to smooth out the fine lines before applying a better coverage concealer.
Would I repurchase? No. I am pretty satisfied with my heavier coverage concealers for my very dark under eye circles. I also think normal primers can smooth out my fine lines so this product is not really a must-have. It was worth a try though, and I am still pretty happy with my purchase.
That’s all for my review. If you have questions, feel free to comment below, and I’ll be glad to answer you!
Have a great Thursday!

Welcome! Hope you’ll like it!

This seems like an interesting product. I’m not a big fan of mousse-y products because I find them a bit difficult to spread out but I might check this out because your before&after photos just got me hooked!

Hi Jannie! You can swatch it first in the store so that you won’t regret shelling out 895!

I’m going to get the clear one? I forget the name but it’s an Instablur as well. Didn’t know that they had variants of that haha. But looks like it worked pretty well on you!
Juvy
I think the clear one is for the whole face. 🙂

i think i’ll give this a pass, i prefer my heavy coverage concealers too for my dark under eyes. it works pretty good as a primer ah if it lasted you that long. i’m curious naman with the instablur, the one for the face to decrease visible pores hehe

I was waiting for your review of this. Di ko napansin sa feeds. Buti na lang I searched.
I wonder if pwede ordinary primers sa undereye area. Safe-ish kaya. Baka pwede na yun.#30sproblems
Meron na din akong super fine crows feet. Urgh. Oh well. Wish ko lang mag-grow-old ako gracefully.

I think ok lang yung ordinary primers sa undereye as long as hindi ka sensitive dun, pero better safe than sorry din diba. Hehe
Kailangan na natin iembrace ang signs ng “pagmature”, but it doesn’t really look and feel like it naman diba, Rae? Hehehe

Huhu, ako na-f-feel ko, hinihingal na ako kapag na-uunderpass sa Ayala. Haha.
