NYX Matte Lipstick in Merlot Review

Here is my second shade of the NYX Matte Lipstick. The first shade I got was Natural (reviewed here), and it is more of an everyday shade. I got Merlot because I feel like deep berry reds flatter my skin tone. I can wear this lipstick with very minimal makeup, like a dab of powder and curled eyelashes.
Merlot Arm Swatch
Merlot, like the Natural shade, is long-lasting and non-drying on my lips. I think this lipstick can be worn everyday too, because it is not as bright as RiRi Woo!

The pigmentation is superb because I only need one swipe to get the payoff I want. I am really satisfied with these NYX Matte Lipsticks. I am tempted to get more, but again, not anytime soon. Haha!

Lovely! Been eyeing this lippie for the looongest time na. For now though, I am hunting for the shade Nicole Esquivel is wearing sa Legal Wife! Haha 😀

Aw. This looks like such a pretty red shade! 🙂 But why doesn’t this dry out your lips though? Huhu all the NYX Matte lipsticks that I own are drying, it’s annoying huhuhu

Oh what a pretty shade, I’ve been wanting a more natural looking red to wear. Plus I love Nyx lipsticks, I might have to look for this shade next time.

Looks really good on you! Yes it’s bright red, but it’s not as in-your-face as some of the dark/bright reds.

I’ve been eyeing this shade from NYX but their Matte lipsticks are too drying on me. 🙁

Finally, meron na akong isa pang nyx matte other than whipped caviar. I have nyx siren, super dark plum. I love nyx.
Planning to get alabama some time in the future, kapag nakaubos na akong ng isang red. Parang hindi din sya bright.
Yung ruby woo and riri woo, mala-neon red levels.
