Lip Primer, Anyone?

Included in my Too Faced Beauty Editor Darlings Set is this Too Faced Lip Insurance. I have never used it that much because I thought it adds a step before I apply my favorite lip product of the day. What sparked my interest to use it again is when I bought the Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms that did not please me that much. I asked myself, would this primer help make the application to be easier? We’ll find out! 🙂

Too-Faced-Lip-Insurance-Lip-PrimerToo Faced Lip Insurance is a lip primer that locks down lip color and prevents fading, bleeding, and creasing.

What It Is: Unique, creamy formulation was created for application all over lips to promote suppleness and lock in lip color so it will not feather, fade or transfer. Our paraben-free, Vitamin-E enriched formula pampers lips while powerful pigment binders protect colors in the most challenging lip conditions and from pout imperfections.

More To Love:
Ease On: The built-in applicator delivers the ideal amount of product for even coverage.
Quick Drying: Formula locks in quickly, guaranteeing that deep, rich pigments perform at their maximum possible depth.
Good for You: Free of parabens, sulfates, dyes, and other damaging ingredients.

*Vegan-friendly
**Paraben-free

This primer comes with a doe-foot applicator that picks up just the right amount of product. It makes the application easier just like putting a lip gloss.

Too-Faced-Lip-Insurance-Lip-Primer-3It does not have a strong smell. The texture is thick, but sets quickly. Once it sets, I can barely feel it on my lips. Up close, I easily notice how it blurs the lines and makes my lips smooth and soft. Do not expect that it will totally erase the lines. It will only blur it, smooth it out and make lip application easier.

Before and After 1It is not that noticeable on bare lips, but when I applied the Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm on top, it showed how amazing this product is. I somehow expected it to be amazing because I have already used this underneath a different lip product and it really made a difference.

Before and After 2I am happy that I will be able to use my Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm without it looking crazy. I have not tested if it will make it stay longer, but I bet it will.

By the way, I also tried applying the Carmen Claire Matte Lipstick in Sanguinello on top of this primer, but that dry lipstick just won’t work. It still tugged my lips so bad! Gah!

I really think that this product is worth it. I don’t think it is available in our Philippine local counters yet, (bummer!) but it is available at Sephora and TooFaced website for $19 a tube. You can search for online sellers that can pre-order it for you.

Are you interested to try this product? Let me know your thoughts! 🙂
