Weekly Makeup Basket #3
Welcome to my new blog!
I still can’t contain my happiness now that I have this new blog. I am still fixing this with the help of my sister, Dre. She influenced me to buy this domain, and she also helped in importing all my posts from the old blog. Thank you, ate! She has an awesome blog, by the way, and if you are a bookworm, you will definitely love it! Click here to follow her blog.
Now let us move on to my weekly makeup basket. It is my third week, and I am still enjoying it! I am really having fun shopping my stash! For this week, I decided to go for all high-end brands. I have Benefit Cosmetics, theBalm, NARS, Too Faced, Amazing Cosmetics, and K-Palette.
For the face, I decided to use my Benefit Cosmetics “hello flawless!” Oxygen WOW Brightening Makeup in Cheers to Me Champagne, and NARS Firming Foundation in Syracuse.
Both of these foundations give a semi-matte finish on my skin. Syracuse is a bit dark on my skin but I still wear it, because I love it! I can make it work by using a lighter powder.
I don’t regret buying these foundations because they give me 100% satisfaction. Both of them do not melt easily on my oily T-zone, and they both give me a healthy, glowing skin. I highly recommend them and will repurchase if money permits. 😀
For primer, I chose Too faced Primed and Poreless. This product came from the Too Faced Beauty Editor Darlings set. I have never used it, but I know that this is one amazing product too.
The concealers I picked are the K-Palette Zero Kuma Type 03 (Orange Beige), and the Amazing Cosmetics Amazing concealer in Light Golden. These concealers are medium to full coverage. They last a long time and a little product is enough to cover the undereye circles, and blemishes. The Amazing Cosmetics concealer is super pricey, though. I don’t think I will purchase it again.
Next products are powder, blush, contour powder, and highlighter.
To complement my “hello flawless” foundation, I got the “hello flawless” powder in Honey. This powder is finely milled, and it sets beautifully. It can be worn by itself, and it comes with a sponge and a brush, however, it has a high price tag. I am not sure if I will repurchase it because there are other affordable powders that can give the same results.
For blush, I chose theBalm Cabana Boy. It is a very pretty dusty-rose blush with plum undertones. I am very satisfied with this blush because a little goes a long way! It is very pigmented, and very flattering on my medium skin. It can even be worn as an eyeshadow. Amazing!
For contour, I chose theBalm Betty-Lou Manizer. This contour powder contains shimmers, but it is not chunky or glittery at all. It makes my cheeks glowy, and again, a little goes a long way! This can also be worn as an eyeshadow.
The Mary-Lou Manizer is the perfect highlighter! I never liked shimmers on my skin until I got this highlighter. I have reviewed it here, if you want to know more.
Last but not the least, the They’re Real Mascara from Benefit Cosmetics.
This product received a lot of raves from reviews I read on beauty blogs but for me, it is just ok. I find that it clumps my eyelashes even with just two coats and it has a drier formula compared to some mascaras I have already used. I don’t think I will repurchase this because I can find better mascaras for a lower price.
For lip products, I really don’t have a particular choice because it changes constantly.
Here is the look I came up with when I used all the products above. I decided to use my Wet N’ Wild Megalast Lipstick in Smokin’ Hot Pink on here.
I hope that you like this post, and don’t forget to follow me!

What’s your MAC shade? I am about to purchase the Benefit Hello Flawless Foundation online but don’t know which shade to go for. I was swatching this in store but forgot which shade matched me. And I am too lazy to go back, hehe. Thanks! 🙂

Sorry but I don’t have any MAC foundations or powders…
