Weekly Makeup Basket #2

Weekly Makeup Basket #2

Week's Basket 2

Hello my beautiful readers! Here is my second week’s basket of this series. I just started last week. I have a lot of makeup that I forget I have, so this is really a fun way of rummaging through them.

For foundations, I want to use either the Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation or Nature Republic Orchid Secret Foundation.

Foundations

These two products are not similar in any way. The Covergirl one dries matte, and has an amazing staying power. It can even replace concealer because of its medium to high coverage. It is one of my favorite foundations, because it works best on my combination to oily skin.

Swatches

The Orchid Secret leaves my skin with a dewy finish. It is lighter than my skin tone, but I can make it work by using a darker powder, or a bronzer. I want to test the Orchid Secret again because the last time I used it, I was not impressed because it melted on my face for just few hours.

Powder Swatches

For bronzers and blushes, I want to use the ELF Healthy Glow Bronzer in Sunkissed, and the NYX Matte Bronzer in Deep. The ELF Healthy Glow Bronzer is a very nice highlight for my medium skin. It has an amazing staying power, too! The NYX Matte Bronzer in Deep is way darker but if I use only a small amount, it works!

The NYX Blush in Raisin and  NYX Blush in Dusty Rose are my most unused blushes because I find that they are too dark for my skin. But yesterday, when I swatched them again, I think I can pull them off, and they are very good colors.

This series is really fun, and I enjoy going through all my makeup. It also makes me feel a bit guilty, because I have purchased a lot, that is enough to last my whole lifetime. LOL! But that’s a phase in a life of us, beauty junkies, right? 🙂

Hope you enjoy reading this, and see you on the next one!

Have a great week ahead! :-*

Is the Covergirl Outlast foundation any good for dry/oily skin? I’m in need of a new foundation but I’m not sure how well it’ll work with my skin type? Is it medium/full coverage?
Great post!
I can never stick to the weekly makeup basket type of thing. I suck at it. lol 🙂

I would not recommended it for dry skin because of its matte finish. It may dry your skin more.
Weekly basket is a challenge for me too, but it is fun as well. 🙂
    Thanks for reading!
